We only sell guitars that we'd be happy playing ourselves.

Plain and simple, we love rustic guitar Americana. We have spent years carefully evaluating and selecting components and suppliers just so that we are able to provide you a quality instrument that is American made--yet at a price most can afford. But in addition to the quality time tested parts we've chosen, the real magic in the formula is that we don't charge for the weeks worth of labor that it takes to build a good guitar. We're retired, far-from--rich-but-don't-need-the-money, and can therefore offer you a guitar that others typically sell for $1,500.00, $1,750.00 or even over $2,000.00. We give you an instrument that's not only looks unique and is a true one-of-a-kind, but one that sounds and plays great too. And yes, all Les Brers Guitars are MADE IN THE USA. And since most of our guitars are made from local or regional trees, they would become firewood if we didn't build them. You can save the legacy of a tree! The ultimate sustainability.

What's The Les brers Appeal?

So what’s the Les Brers (pron. “lay brare”, it’s French for “the brothers”) Guitars deal? How can we sell QUALITY guitars at these prices? Four basic things:

Quality, proven parts--We’ve experimented with various parts from various manufacturers for many years. This has led to us finding parts that can be relied upon at a price that fits our model of selling accessible, affordable guitars. You won’t find this caliber of hardware and components in “big-name” guitars at our price point. We employ this hardware at ALL critical points:

UNIQUE STUFF WE DO:
1. ALL necks are installed using the Guide-Hole Physics principle, yielding noticeably more sustain and ring.
2. All intonation set via electronic tuner.
3. ALL Necks are finished in our proprietary, 20-step, hand rubbed oil finish—durable, sleek, and great playing.
4. All cavities lined and pickup leads twisted to proper tpi to minimize noise and interference.
5. Set nut action on EVERY guitar for best playability.

---Why Do We Do It? We love guitar-Americana and rustic guitars. We set out to build guitars that are most rustic and vintage looking, BUT, are fully professional-level instruments. We really love being able to provide a quality instrument that is hand made in America for FAR lower than the kind of price you'd expect to pay for a big-name manufacturer's American made guitar with the same caliber of components. The big-name manufacturers can make an aesthetically awesome guitar for this kind of price point. You can buy a beautiful $500 guitar and sure, the highly lacquered finish is perfect. BUT, why does it not play and sound anywhere near as great as it looks? Simple: They don’t put the quality of components in it that we do. Nor do they spend a lot of time setting each one up and testing it extensively to ensure that it is the best playing and best sound one can get from that set of components. We DO. Do we make the best, or the most aesthetically perfect guitars? NO. But we do give you an instrument that 1) Is wonderfully rustic, one of a kind, and 2) plays well/sounds good enough for professional work, and, 3) is not going to make you go broke, and, 4) is MADE IN THE USA.
