AMBER WAVES is a telly/TL style electric guitar with a unique amber flamed finish developed in house. It is new, one-of-a-kind, and  luthier-made in the USA.
 
The body back is US Western Red Alder, finished naturally, and the top is flamed maple finished with our special triple-dye method. The three ply black pickguard really pops with it visually.
 
HOT CITY PICKUP CONFIGURATION: The cool look of the Amber Waves is complimented by a unique, new pickup setup that's ONLY found here at Les Brers Guitars--our NEW, HOT CITY pickup configuration. Most find the Telly neck pickup to be somewhat lacking, and tend to sit on the bridge pickup. We have created a far more versatile Telly type guitar by experimenting over years with many different pickups, finally finding a specially matched pickup for the neck position. The result: a telly with much bigger balls than ever before. Like two guitars in one. In the future, we will be offering most of our Telly-type guitars in this new HOT CITY pickup configuration.
 
"Behind the scenes" upgrades have been performed to ensure solid, mittent sound for years to come: Alpha pots, industry-leading PureTone output jack, and custom-wired three way Kaisch (we have found them as good or better than the "ol' US standys") switch have been employed. Though single coil pickups will always be somewhat noisy, we take the extra measure of pickup wire winding to significantly reduce the noise floor.
 
Perhaps most importantly, we've upgraded everything that touches strings: Genuine bone nut, bridge with individual bridge saddles, and Wilkinson tuning machines create the feel of a much higher priced guitar.
 
The neck is Canadian maple, truss rod equipped. It is finished in our proprietary, 20 step, hand-rubbed oil finish.
