The Chestnut Mare from Les Brers Guitars
 
The Chestnut Mare was envisioned to be both the general color palette of a chestnut mare as well as being a bit sleeker and (dare we say) more refined in appearance vs. your usual LBG Telly type.
 
The Chestnut Mare is a thin, double-cut tellty, single-bound on top with cream binding. Made of a single piece of Pennsylvania walnut, the "back" is stained in a chestnut, the "top" is left natural, and all is top coated with a number of hand rubbed finishing coats.
 
Pickups and tuners are Wilkinson, and the six saddle bridge has been perfectly intonated. Inside, Alpha pots, "orange drop" cap and PureTone output jack ensure a clean signal path. Combine that with copper lining of all cavities and pickup lead winding to a tpi specifically designed to significantly reduce RFI, and you get a guitar that is cleaner, quieter and more solid in its signal path than any at this kind of price.
 
The neck is Canadian maple, with maple fingerboard, finished in our unique 20-step house-developed process. Neck radius is 12".
