The Les Brers Guitars Sho Sugi Ban P90 Telly:
An Illinois White Pine body was treated in the way of the ancient Japanese Shou Sugi Ban, torched, then smoothed successively with four different materials to a smooth, beautifully ridged look and feel. Striking, and actually seals/strengthens the wood. The Sho Sugi Ban was hued with a custom developed, cadmium red dye. To top it off, it was then capped with a hearty nitro topcoat. The Sho Sugi Ban employs a hot Wilkinson P90 neck pickup combined with a Wilkinson vintage-voiced Telly bridge pickup---Awesome bite and range from the P90. Vintage Telly all the way from the bridge pup, and better-than-your-typical-Telly sound from both in the middle switch position. Overall, the Les Brers Guitars Sho Sugi Ban is bold to look at, sleek to the touch, and sounds better than your average Telly!
